too tired for this nonsense

jacket: DIY chain nonsense

just a friday night meet the friends at the pub for a brew (pub in question being korean, brew being various flavoured sojus) thrown together kind of thing after an exhausting week. i can’t tell you how much i love this jacket. more pics later. it’s long asymmetrical hoodie that i picked up at urban outfitters for like, 10 bucks in the sale section, and then sewed about 30 or 40 bucks worth of fine sterling silver chains and tiny rose buttons onto after seeing emanuel ungaro’s insane cashmere hoodie. i get comments on it everywhere i go, mostly to the tune of “i love your jacket, but i’m afraid it’d snag on everything!” …for the record, the chains do come out sometimes, but i can just sew them back in when i get home. i kind of feel like it could stand for more chains and maybe some reflective mirror buttons, so i’ll probably continue adding to it later.

love, wen

although in hindsight you probably sewed them on by hand. holy crap that is so beautiful ;______; how long did that take?

sewed it by hand and it took longer than i thought it would =__= i got back from dance class around 11 thinking it’d take me an hour tops to do the whole thing before jetting off to LA the next day and lo and behold was up half the night sewing and only got about 2/3 done, and did the rest when i got back home from my trip. definitely going to add more when i find suitable buttons, it is a continual work in progress…! <3
